Re: 63 Long Stepper c10 **BEWARE DIALUP USERS**
well change of plans..
alot of body work to the cab and frontward will have to be done to this truck.. so my dad and i have pretty much decided on going white with the truck and striping it out in red... and keeping the gauge face red,.. also the glovebox, heater controls and ashtray red.. then everything else with red striping

Well everything up till now from last post will be summed up in this short paragraph.. little of nothing. . Got the carb togeather. only thing i'm worried about is i hope i got this cam thing togeather right have had a battle with paint since i started with the Krylon.. just seems like crappy high priced paint...the best thing yet is the collumn got everything sprayed white now.. [not pictured] got some touch up work to do on it.. maybe go in tomorrow evening or sunday. and thats about it.. can someone confirm the carb being put togeather correctly?

I got the carb on , and the cam thing's arm came off so we took it back off and bent it a little so its staying on now. My dad had to go to my little brothers basketball game so my dad wouldnt let me try and crank it w/o him here. I may edit the update if it runs. Once i paint the arms for the shifter it can go on the truck EDIT: well i did end up with getting the arms painted, got the collumn togeather. some of the paint chipped and it looks like crap but i dont care.. i've got to put a turn signal switch in later anyway so i'll just loosen it up and re-paint it if it looks that bad. I may put the collumn in tommorrow and try and run it again

Nice work on the shifter. I haven't touched mine since my truck is pulled apart some, but it is stuck in gear.
I'll have to take a look at mine and might copy your idea just a bit. Of course it depends exactly whats worn on mine. Oh yeah welcome aboard too. Last edited by kizer; 01-26-2009 at 01:28 PM. |

Re: 63 Long Stepper c10 **BEWARE DIALUP USERS**
Well i'm back around.
A buddy of mine from another forum pulled a flathead 6 out of a 40 something chev and the carb numbers on it are 7003536-0-34 its a Rochester 1bbl. Is anyone here good enough to tell if it'll fit?
