I don't see a reason why they wouldn't work. If a 8.5" wide wheel works with 5 1/2" bs. Then a 9" wide wheel with 5 1/2" of bs is going to stick out 1/2" further.

If you want to tuck deep and still drive on 22's you will need a narrowed track width, unless you get a wheel with mucho BS, and I think its still going to be close. The dropmember and 22x9 coys will drive ok tucked deep. Find the "Tootsie Roll" build and you will see what I'm talking about. It is discussed there.

on my blazer i have 22 X 9.5 wheels with 265 35's
the fronts are 6 3/4 backspacing and the rear are 6 3/8.... then i added 1" adapters with makes the backspacing 5 3/4 & 5 3/8 here are pics showing how far they tuck..... Last edited by duceducenine; 12-31-2010 at 01:43 PM. |

hope this helps i just moved my stock crossmember up 2" and forward 1". a lot of steering and control arm modifying but they are 22x9 coys. |
