Re: Custom bumpers
Yes, thanks for the pic's! I do have the frame end pieces all ready to be welded back on. I'm thinking I won't need them, just fab up some extensions out of steel. As soon as I get the frt. bumper here, I'll know more. Thank's again for the info, it will help a lot when I get down to it!

Re: Custom bumpers
That's what I thought. I ordered mine without the driving and turn signal holes, since I'm going back to the stock "7o" grille setup. Hope your not in a hurry, I ordered mine on 4/8/09., and still waiting. From Georgia to my place in Mi., $129.00 shipping.Brings total to about $859.00! Should know soon, and I will post up any info/pic's when I get it here! I would recommend talking to Kyle personally, and let him know exactly what you want. Seemed like a great guy to deal with, but I'll know more when my bumper is here!

Re: Custom bumpers
I remember waiting about 7weeks back in 1999, but I do live in California and ground ship probly added a week.
You guys want me to tell you what I paid back then? Damn this August will be 10 years ago, man time is FLYIN by The newer version has alot more 'fab' work into it, plus the mini stinger or whatever you wana call it and no diamond plate for the smooth finnish look. Looks and fits nice

Re: Custom bumpers
After a second look I thought I would point out that white Blazer ^^ has the bumper mounted below the chrome grill 'lip'. The factory bumper fit 'in' that lip. I cut mine along the bottom and removed the lip but left the frame part.
I did this when I was fitting my winch into the bumper, with that new design you may wan to check if a low profile winch is recomended, mine is not low profile. Mine mounts a bit higher than the white K5's and keep in mind you will have to cut off your 'fangs' with the newer style..I cut mine off before I got the bumper so... Anyway just thought I would share...

Re: Custom bumpers
Right on Burt! I am ready to hack and chop ! Have been looking at winches to see what will work the best. When I asked Kyle at KNMTN about it, he said most winches will fit. I didn't like that answer, and am really looking before buying. Have you seen the new mile marker v-12 series? I like the looks of it and the features, just not sure if it will work with the new bumper. I haven't even started pricing yet, just trying to save the funds! Oh yea, I would be curios what you paid for that wincher, "way" back then! I was planning on cutting off the "fangs" anyway, any advice on that area?

Re: Custom bumpers
Ok, 340 shipped
I think mine has less 'engineering' in it so.. No I haven't looked at winches in a while. I would defenitally wait until you get the bumper and fitment before you buy one. When I cut my fangs off I put a piece of masking tape were I wanted to cut it and then just used a highspeed cutting wheel and chopped it off. You might even find something resting inside there. I found a grease rag and a 9/16 socket hahahhaa Have a great weekend!

Re: Custom bumpers
Wow, how times change thru the years! Thank's for the advise, and all the pic's. Just for giggles, check out that v-12 winch. I believe it's at www. milemarker.com. As for the bumper fitting "under" the lip on the grille, I am going to install a brand new "70" outer grille assy., I bought years ago from GM. Got the new inner grille also. I'll make it fit right somehow! Funny, when I ordered the bumper, Kyle said a "couple weeks", deep down I knew better. That's ok, I'm not in that big of hurry, it all takes cash! Well gotta go, you have a great weekend too! Oh, don't forget it's mothers day sunday!

Re: Custom bumpers
Hey 72,no I haven't got it yet. I got a e-mail on wed., the 27th, saying it had about 12 orders ahead of it. Kyle said about 5 or 6 production days to go. I got order confirmation on the 8th of April. So let's do the math. April 8 to May 31st. Looks to be 7 weeks and 4 days so far. When I was researching bumper company's I heard a lot of bad feeback about KTNMA, decided to go with them anyway. So I kinda was ready for a wait. Hoping to prove that it's a good way to go. From what they said, bumper should be here soon. I will post up any new info ASAP.

Re: Custom bumpers
Hey swy, I was just thinkin and if Burt ordered his in '99 and they had 12 orders in front of yours, ten years later, they must be makin good products to stay in business this long and still have customers. I bet your bumper will be just what you ordered. Hang in there and you'll have it before you know it. Just me thinkin positive.

Re: Custom bumpers
My thinking exactly. Thank's for thinking positive! I was not in that big of a hurry when I ordered it, so I figured I could wait for what I really wanted. Still gotta modify the frt. "horns" and such when It gets here. Can't wait!
