Re: '71 Cheyenne Big Block - $63K
Rokcrln beat me to it. It would equate to 50 weeks of 40 hr work weeks to achieve 2,000 hrs. of hand buffing that paint. It seems that he was one NOS bolt short on his radiator hold down, maybe its just my screen. I agree about the Fesler truck being worth that

Re: '71 Cheyenne Big Block - $63K
I hope it sells because that would increase the value of our trucks.

Re: '71 Cheyenne Big Block - $63K
I went to the barret jackson auction three weeks ago and here are two examples of VERY nice truck that I saw in person that sold for hi 20's...The two tone was a one owner 48,000 miles and it was MINT!!!!
So not even in Barret Jackson these buckets are fetching high dollars...

Re: '71 Cheyenne Big Block - $63K
I guess the $60K range is about the going price for these trucks now.
Msgross posted this one recently. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=339439

Re: '71 Cheyenne Big Block - $63K
While we are picking it apart, here are a few more.
Wrong motor (454). Wrong rear gears. The only ratio available for the big block is 3:07. I don't see the passenger-side frame mounted exhaust hanger unique to big-blocks. I don't see the heat shields on the bottom of the wood bed (they could be there but I don't see them). The original air-cleaner is missing. The stove and stove-pipe for the Thermac are missing. Would a '71 have had a smog system? Obviously the wood and strips are not correct. Ralley wheels with spinners are not correct. Nice truck but not $60k+ Last edited by DANTIP; 04-30-2009 at 08:06 AM.
