The digital dash looks great. I always wanted one but did not know if they would hold up very well.

It seems to me that you may be leaning towards the street rod look for your dash.Have you considered mounting the gauges in the center as oppose to the driver's side?I think that will create some balance.As for the bezel,say that your truck is a '72,how about a '32 chevy bezel with new analog gauges,or a '37 for a '67,you know ,old and new type of contrast.Just an idea.HF

It's definitely a different direction than I'm taking, but I certainly like it. I don't immediately recognize the guts you're using. Something from Ford? Keep us posted!

The Guts arent from anything, its all done by hand, from the original pic in this thread. I got the radio and vent work out of something new. Im trying to come up with something that looks similar to stock, but modern, and still have the 67-72 lines.

I like what youve been doing with your dash, I've been keeping an eye on it for a while now. I read earlier that you put the AC vents in the doors, how is that being done??

thas sweet, but i like shaved with stock cluster shape at least, but you dont have glovebox i guess that wouldnt work. what about jsut putting guages in dash with no cluster?

Sorry... I was being a smarta$$. I was referring to the window cranks and sufficient highway speed

No AC in this truck.

I'm partial to the stock look, myself. I think the engineers and designers of the '67-'72 trucks were geniuses and their products are very hard to improve upon. Fun to try, though! I would still like to see a photoshop wiz put stock gauges recessed in the stock locations in that smooth dash.

With the smooth look you've got going, I think any kind of guages that show will distract from the minimalist look. I would take a sheet of black plexiglass, cut it in the shape of the original bezel and mount the digital gauges behind it. They would only show when the gauges are on. The rest of the time, the dash would be stark and smooth with a hint of mystery behind the black glass.
