dats nice,,what paint do u use flat black??Is it hard to crimp those wires,,what kinda wires to get?under header fit wires or custom wires

Do not use flat black. It will stain easily and absorb moisture. Use a satin or egg shell black. Gloss black is fine for parts that can be sanded and painted properly only.

ok,,man help me out,what wires to get to cut ?custom.I work on cars also.but just want my wires hid..my wife hate it.She not on road yet but will be after exhaust.Im ordering flowmasters mon

Yea, satin, or semi-gloss flat black is what you want for paint. Flat stains, mars, attracts dirt to easily, and gloss shows everything--dirt, scratches, etc--you don't want either one of those.

As far as wires, you need to get the make your own kind. They typically have the spark plug side already made with either straight boot (180 degree), angled boot (45 or 135 degree) or right angle (90 degree). You need to crimp on the distributor socket and slip the boot on. Its the only way to go when dealing with custom applications such as going through special looms or trying to hide them going under the headers or what not. Making them is like any other wiring project, it takes time. If you do these, i suggest getting a set of wiring crimping plires that are made to do plug wires or have the option to.

Sorry, i didnt see that before. Why not paint it now and fix the wires at the same time? If not, just get the black loom and clean it up best you can. If your painting it silver, any automotive type paint will do--even a gloss is fine. I just don't like gloss black on an engine compartment because its hard to keep clean---just like the outside of a black car. Anyways, i think i have seen silver loom also that will work against the silver. You going to want to blend things into the backround and/or eliminate them from the area by rerouting like i said before.

Again, take your time, and solder and heat shrink the wires when extending or shortning---do not use the stupid butt connectors, your just asking for electrical troubles using them, especially under the hood exposed to weather.
