Re: How many square bodies do you see a day?

The reason Chevy is going under is because they make such a great product, we dont keep having to buy new. same reason F@%d doesnt need help from the goverment. They make junk and you keep having to buy new.. just my thinking.........LOVE MY CHEVY !!!!!!

Re: How many square bodies do you see a day?

P.S.

If we're counting the ones we see on T.V. (should that count as well?) then:

1) There are two, maybe three in this clip. i faintly remember this guy. They are after the motorcycle--which i believe was evel knievel which i thought was somewhat stupid and before the lincoln which was stupid. Try to research more on this guy:
NOTE: i discovered the clip while searching for something totally unrelated.

2) There are/were several on Seinfeld; The one where george gets sick--and is transported on a C-30 ambulance--which crashes. There is also a crewcab on the episode, "The race."

3) Speaking of Farrah Fawcett being in the news lately, i strongly believe(pretty positive) she is shown driving one at the beginning intro. i didn't pay attention when the show was originally on and never watched it simply because i wasn't interested back then. And, of course she is linked to Lee majors, and you all know about that (the truck).

I paid attention today and saw 11 from 10-12...just 2 hours. Welcome to the south, where every real redneck has one!

Re: How many square bodies do you see a day?

The other day me and the wife were out riding our motorcycles and we went past a house that had four squares all jacked up on 40's and 44's. On the other side of the street was a house with two square bodys both 4x4's with 35's on them. Later on I saw a 1977 short bed lowered in a driveway near our house. That was alot of older trucks in one day.

Re: How many square bodies do you see a day?

I see far more '81 - '87 trucks still puttering around as daily transpo than 73-80. Every day , a couple of kids from a local vo-tech nearby drive by in nice old survivor condition 73-80's though

I'd guess 20 is a good number a day for me with it being heavilly skewed towards the newer versions

Perhaps 5 or 6 67-72's in comparison

Re: How many square bodies do you see a day?

I grew up with this guy whose dad is a serious Ford guy. He has a 78 ford 4x4 and a newer F250 diesel. Well, he's kinda a Mopar guy too. Basically he just gives me $#!+ all the time about Gm.

Now I have owned, or had in my family atleast one squarebody for as long as I can remember. I've really never had to do a whole lot of work to one until recently with my Blazer. And he just won't shutup about it. "I've seen those things give so many people problems, always replacing cheap parts...blah, blah, blah...never on the road."

So, I always pose this arguement,"What do you see more of on the road? Squarebodies or Ford trucks or Dodges of the same era?"

This lunatic (I mean that in the best possible way) actually has the nerve to argue with me about it, claiming that there are far more old Fords on the road. Which of course is laughable.

This arguement has been going on for years, so I have taken the time to notice what I see on the road.

I see atleast 10-15 Gm squarbodies on the road everyday. I might see one old Ford driving every other day. And maybe one old Dodge per week, if that. Does anybody even know what a 1980 Dodge even looks like?

God Bless Texas.
