Mileage wise...well that is hard to tell...I found that my gas gauge is off seeing that it is a 16 gallon tank and i filled up at 1/4 left and only put 9 gallon in it.

Well I'm glad your buddy is not in CA dianosing leaks. Glad you made it home safely. Have been under the truck to see what was/is leaking?

A rear main seal leak can sometimes not leak while the engine is running. Sometimes they only leak when the motor is shut-off and the oil is draining back into the crankcase (thats how mine was - drove it cross country and it didn't leak a bit, but over the next month of daily driving and parking at night I lost 2 quarts...finally fixed and as dry as a bone now)
