Re: what year did they change the 4wd pumpkin over to the left

Why don't you just put in another T-350 or get that one rebuilt? They are pretty tough if built right and not very expensive. No overdrive and full time 4x4 kill mileage a fair amount so that is my guess.

You are not going to find that....it's either some fabrication with the swap or live with what you already have.

Re: what year did they change the 4wd pumpkin over to the left
from what ive heard about my pickup is that its a mid 70s frame and running gear underneath a 87 body and engine. i can get a 465/205 combo out of my dads old 80' 3/4 ton and steal the front driveshaft too i just dont know if i want stick shift all the time. i definstly dont want that old th350 and anchor 203 because of no lockup or overdrive at least in a 465 you have some kind of lockup

ford axles are 100% different than chevys, and so are dodges. you can swap out all the knucles stuff and use the chevy outer.
tons of people do d44 and d60 swap, tons of people. but it is far from a bolt in swap. there a rea a few years that the spring perchs are identical to chevy but everybody wants them so they are more$$$ and harder to find. |
