Re: Who got the best deal?
Paid $1,500 off Ebay and runs great, drove it home with no problem. Engine is tight and clean. Trans and diff are fine, too. Not one lick of rust, original California truck. Included original speedwarning/tach dash and truck ralleys. Originally had a 396 but now has a small block. Brakes worked lousy but it was because of one leaky wheel cylinder. Choke was not working but I installed a cable to operate it. Wood bed is shot. Am now installing a new Holley 4 barrel w/ electric choke, Weiand intake and HEI.

Re: Who got the best deal?
As for my '69, I think I got a great deal. I will not state the price I gave for the truck, but with the original documentation, original drivetrain and original interior... I was happy with the money I spent.
Plus it is a native MO truck from start to finish... built in St Louis, MO and sold brand new in Chamois, MO.

Re: Who got the best deal?
Hey, I don't want to say how much I paid for my truck because people might laugh....................
I got the 69 K10 for $800 and the Longhorn for $375 plus the haul back from Minnesota. I'm still trying to decide if the K10 was worth it or not.

Re: Who got the best deal?
Bought this one for $2,500, and drove it 200 miles home through the pouring rain. It purred the entire way. It's not perfect, but it's surely NOT a beater. Minimal rust. Promptly threw in a 700r4 and put some new tires on it. Now I just drive it around with a big smile. It was a deal for me.

Re: Who got the best deal?
I paid $4,000.00 22 years ago. At the time, the camper was only 2 years old and been been used 4 times by the previous owner. I managed to only put another $4.000.00 into over it the years and that included a rebuild on the engine & transmission.
The time I spent camping with my daughter made that truck the best deal of a life time for me. Then she grew up, moved away to go to law school. And I found this forum... have spent a bunch more money and it's been sitting in my driveway for over a year.

Re: Who got the best deal?
I got mine from a co-worker at a Chevrolet dealership I worked at in WV. It was his daily driver for most of the 25 years he owned it.He even left WV for a few years in the early 90's and moved to Arizona, and made at least 30 cross country trips with it between WV-AZ. He'd put a 100 gal. aux. fuel tank in the bed and said he could leave WV and didn't have to get gas again till he got to Arkansas.I got the truck and 25 years worth of accumulated parts he hoarded up(2 truck loads, including some rust free AZ sheetmetal) for $2000
