Re: tire help for rally wheels
I found that they do have a 255/65/15, which is only 1/10th inch taller than the 275/60/15. You would have to look pretty close to find a 1/10th of an inch. I think thats the way I'm going to go once I get there, although they are pricy.
For your truck I think your looking for a 245/60/15 is only 1/10" shorter than the 295/50/15 that you have on the rear now. They do or did make them. I see BF Goodrich TA shows to be available in that size. I just saw 245/60/15 on a Ford truck today. I did not notce what brand they were. Last edited by 1LowToy; 01-10-2010 at 01:11 AM. Re: tire help for rally wheels
wow didnt think my old truck would get so much attention. anyways yea it was just a quick drop with a-arms and cut 88-98 springs haha and the rear was homemade flip with shackles and a leaf takin out(had a 1"block but took it out). truck rode super smooth with good monroe shocks, the longtubes hung down pretty low. i drove the truck about 500miles a week.

Re: tire help for rally wheels
For all you guys that are running 215/70-15 or 215/75-15 (or any tire expert) ... do you know if the tires are passenger tires or LT (light truck). I'm planning to pick up a set of 215/70-15 tires and mount them myself, but they are passenger car tires. Will that matter? Does anyone even make a 215/70-15 in LT?

Re: tire help for rally wheels
It really doesn't matter, LT's generally have a higher load rating, but if it's on a 1/2T "cruiser" truck, it'll be fine.
I'll be putting the 215/75-15 tires on 15x7 Cragars off my Riviera onto my '77 SWB....

Re: tire help for rally wheels
That's what I was thinking about running a P tire on a truck, but I always like a second opinion.
I'm running 7" rally rims on the front of my 1981 CCSB custom 1/2 ton. I tested these 205s on there and they just look too small. Anything more than 215/70 I think would rub when turning. By the way, love the bug and the orange C10 in your album.
