That'll look sweet with the paint job. That's a lucky customer right there.

Yeah the one that various people are posting pics of is the one from Barret-Jackson. And the truck in C-10addicts shop does favor it. I like the one that he's working on better though. I have the feeling I'll like the rim choice better also.

Re: 63 We are bagging and tubbing at the shop..

This may be a dumb question, are you putting a clear on it? If so what do you use?
Whats your thoughts on Bamboo for the bed?
I know what the customer wants is what he wants. Just wanted your thoughts...

Little update.. We mocked up the bed floor and have the wheel tubs widened.. Time for some body work, paint work and some staining...

Great job!! looks awesome, very nice work.

I love the truck in that picture that you are emulating. In fact, the exhaust is exactly what I wanted to do to mine. I printed those pictures to copy!

Re: 63 We are bagging and tubbing at the shop..

Few updates.... Installed the front and rear brakes... Powder coated the rear rotors to match the fronts... The wheels should be here this week and the panels for inside the bed are being painted as we speak...The new bed cover is finished and will be here tomorrow.. We made it out of Hartz cloth with black snaps... We plan on taking the truck to Detroit Autorama next week so if you are there check it out...

I'm LOVING the look of those deep lip'd wheels on that truck.... So how much did it end up selling for a Barrett?

Nice progress on your project too! Cant wait to see it done!

Different trucks. That was a 65 this is a 63.
The 65 sold for $104,000, but they had $165,000 into it.

This is exactly why it never made sense to me to build (or have built) anything that is that "over the top".

A nice driver is the way to go, IMO. You can still get a very similar look...and DRIVE it without losing your A$$ if you sell it.
