Re: 1/2 to 1 ton dually ? ? ?
I think it would look much more proportional if the rear axle was narrowed 6-8 inches on both sides and the fenders were sectioned about the same...

Re: 1/2 to 1 ton dually ? ? ?
i personally like the look of the fat fenders and wheels of the dually's i was just concerned about the lenght of the fenders down the side of the bed.
chesse, if you could send me some pics of the bed with the fenders on when you have time that would be great of you. just PM them to me so we can stop hijacking tony's thread. |

Re: 1/2 to 1 ton dually ? ? ?
these look pretty good. i'm going to have to check into this further. i think a swb reg. cab dually would look cool.
tony are you going to be setting up at the Arlington Swap Meet at the end of january. let me know and i'll try and drop by and say hey and talk some trucks. i met you( i think it was you) a couple of years ago i think it was at one of the le grave swap meets( i think it was that one). oh yeah, good score on those wheels. Re: 1/2 to 1 ton dually ? ? ?
I am going to have to change the rear hangers for the leaf springs. 1/2, 3/4, and 1 ton are all different. Same width springs though. Found a 87' to go look at, but the owner called me back the next day and told me it quit running. I have also found a single cab dually to go look at. Maybe the easier way to go.

Re: 1/2 to 1 ton dually ? ? ?
Got some free wheels today. They are some older eagle alloy wheels. Very good condition, but need a polish. Don't know if I am going to put them on or not. They came on a 97' 454 dually my dad bought just for the motor to put in his 71'. I have steels also. I really want some 5 star looking wheels.

arent the ball joints bigger for the dually/ 1 ton spindles. so a lower a arm change would be needed
