Is the 'sock' option necessary for laying out on +30" tall tires .
Nice progress!

yes sir if u look at he last pic u can see the pb sway bar and the boxes holding my DM and chromoly PB arms im have to weld up the front of the frame. the p/o started a Z on it and im going to finish it. the plan is to run 24" wheels all around.

as for the track bar we have intalled a panhard bar (pics soon). i tried using a delux trac bar from early classics but it didnt work right. ended up making one from chromoly tubing and a cupple heim joints.

I'd say do the frame, crossmembers, and front dropmember in black. Control arms, trailing arms, and smaller parts (shocks, loose brackets, panhard/sway bars, etc) in purple. I did a similar combo with hammered black and hammered silver and was happy with the contrast without it being "too much"

I agree with ^, or maybe even a little less. Any moving parts in purple and stationary parts in black.

Re: laying frame with PB trailing arms

Everything looks great, but I am confused. Why did you Z the frame AND do a Dropmember?

Re: laying frame with PB trailing arms

the previous owner Zed the frame, i just finished it and made it stronger. im runing 24inch wheels so the Z will allow it to lay. the dropmember alone allows u to lay 29 1/2 inch tire combo, 24's are around 31 1/2
