Re: got it lowered 5/7 now
Now don't start jumping down my back... I do agree with the guys that said these truck need a little rake to look good. You did the right thing by dropping it 5/7. Now you run some 20tis on that badboy and make sure the rear tire is slighlty bigger then the front and you will get your rake. Go with a 20x10 in the back and throw a 305/40/20 tire on it and the front a 255/45/20 and voile! Got about a 1inch rake. Hardly noticebale but still noticeable.
I got a 77LWB with a 5/7 drop and c-notch (c-notch was a must on my truck) and I'm gonna run 24x8 and 22x8. Get a little rake out of the bad boy. All in all badass looking chevy! Last edited by N2TRUX; 04-12-2010 at 08:08 PM. |

i wanted to put an aluminum radiator but i think that this would be a more economical solution.

Re: got it lowered 5/7 now
the wheel opening in the front on these trucks is bigger than the rear. mine was dropped 4/6 and it did the same thing. it was dead level but tucked tire in the back and still had a gap in the front. there is a member here who sectioned his front fenders to remedy this. but your truck looks awesome as is and i think the 20's will really make a huge difference.

Is that a reproduction fan shroud and if so how does it fit and where did you get it? Thanks.

Re: got it lowered 5/7 now
looks great but i agree with you these trucks need a rake to offset the fender height in the front.
