He sent a few phone pics to me...that picture is it's best side from what I could tell the other side has trim hanging off it.. It's probably not a bad truck for the price but 6 hour round trip just kills the deal for me, w/ a 2 month old at home.

My 82 in her Glory.... most people didn't like the colors, but they grew on me. Obviously not the most "sport" colors though.. Almond and Metallic Bronze.

Yours is looking as sharp as usual Boat & YOURS HAVE ROUND HEADLIGHTS .

yOU KNOW i THINK THE 81-87'S ARE THE TRUE SQUARE BODYS with the rectangular headlights & rectangular grills etc. . Ithink the 73-79's should be in a different classification with the more rounded front clip & side molding etc. Just a thought.

I know this is old, but I felt compelled to respond. There was a time not long ago that these trucks were being called the "rounded line" generation. Just like you stated the "rounded line" tag described the head lights and rounded trim line on the fenders of the 73-80 trucks.

The magazines picked up on the "square body" tag to describe the 81-87's and next thing you know the entire 73-87 series was being called square body.

I agree that is is very descriptive of the later trucks, and it flows well, but the 73-80s are not even close to being square.

I just noticed that almost every truck I own or have owned recently is a solid color. Three solid blue 77's , one solid Yellow 76 , and one solid black 78 right now . The Buckskin 78 was solid also . The only two toned square I have owned in the last 10 plus years is the 73 Cheyenne Super I had . I will post a pic of it since I have them . All factory paint in original GM colors for 73.

And that other is a C10, mine is a K20. It's not a color combo you see very often, I have seen 1 in person and 2 or 3 others on the internet.

Clean looking truck Desert.

Don't know if it truely was or not but it seemed to be one of the most popular OEM 2 tones in my area when these trucks were new.
