HOWEVER, I have been seeing a lot of hijacked threads over the last few weeks and for some reason it rubs me the wrong way. If someone starts a thread asking about something or wanting an answer, please don't jump in and ask for something different just because it is in the same ballpark. In other words, (and this is totally just a made up example) if someone posts a picture of an off the wall transfer case that is in their blazer and asks questions about it, please don't jump in and say "Hey I have a transfercase too, why is mine painted pink blah blah blah etc etc?" Now if your reply is directly related to the orignal post, then get after it, post away.

I'm not trying to be an @ss or anything, I love this forum because it is made up of friendly people who genuinely want to learn and help, including myself. The reason I am posting this is to try and keep the threads somewhat neat and concise and possibly save some aggravation for the original poster.

I was new here once as well and made my share of replies that I shouldn't have, just trying to keep things running smoothly around here. So run a search, look through old threads, and then start your own if you don't see an existing answer.

Moderators, I hope my little commentary isn't crossing any lines. rant off...

FWIW I agree with you. Posts are like conversations and they often evolve into a broader topic than originally posted. Thats the nature of the beast. I'm good with that. On the other hand I don't care too much for new threads being jacked with the first reply. Ie; Here's a picture of my truck with the new air cleaner. First reply has a bazillion pics including suspension mods, metal flake paint, blower assy, ect...

What is a mispost exactly??? Is it when you try to post something and you spill Mountain Dew on your keyboard before you can hit "Submit Reply" and the whole thing goes up in flames before its able to make it's journey through the interwebs???

Its when you start a thread in the wrong section.

BTW I agree with the hijack issue, but a Miss Liz said... they are correctable.

Well, when Emily Post was very young, before she got into etiquette, and before she got married, she was a Miss Post

Sorry should've multi-quoted, but that is off topic. Is that the same as a hyjack?

Re: Please no more hijacking

The handle broke on my lunchbox. Does anyone know where I can get a rebuild kit?

All my dog wants to do is listen to 78's on the old record player.

Re: Please no more hijacking

I still do it now and then, but I use something to chock the wheels and I set the parking brake if it works.

point taken on OP's thought on this though.

Re: Please no more hijacking

your aunt's big toe will get better if she drinks more milk but that would leave less for her corn flakes.

are those 78's or 33's that the dog is listening to?

when will they come out with 33" wheels?

how do I get rust stains off my chrome wheels?

is there a way to paint using actual rust?
