The later style compressor that originaly designed for r-134 is probably making the difference.I wouldn t mind those temps either.

i got told that this will lower the temp of the system but not the vent temps for those wondering, because of how large and efficient the truck style condenser already it. My area gets to around 95 with a heat index of 110ish, maybe in the hotter regoins it may be better.

I have been holding off on replacing my new OE-style 85 condenser with this style. I wanted to see how well the OE condenser performed in the hot, hot weather with the 5.3's compressor. In the few 100° plus days we've had in the last 2 weeks, it will still freeze me out! I think if you already have everything apart while you are doing a swap, this would be a good choice. But don't discount the OE condenser, it will still make icicles.

** EDIT - I just checked the part number of the one I bought, Visteon P/N 2083 from O'Riley. In the specs it says "Utilize popular parallel flow and 6 mm designs. " So I guess that explains why it works so good!

Sounds like the same one, or very similar.

I pretty much have stock everything.... except 134a refrigerant.. here in Cali it's been 100+.. and pushing close to 50* vent temps on these days...stop and go traffic.. 60(+-) cooler days, lower temps... Im impressed for a 26 yr old A/C system
