Re: Just bought/got home a 1962 C10 step
Here are some pictures from the drive back. I'm actually following the wife as she drives ahead. She was following me, but after the hood blow over, she didn't want to be behind me anymore.

Re: Just bought/got home a 1962 C10 step
Pretty disturbing that the panhard bar would shear in two? Doesn't look like it was in a bind since both ends are fairly close to each other? Bizzarro!
Well it's been over 8 months since the trip.. any progress photos? |

Re: Just bought/got home a 1962 C10 step
I found it in Douglas.
The progress I've made is not very visible, just fixing all the little stuff, like U-joints, brakes, windshield, heater, headlights, directionals, wipers, pedals, tires, suspension bushings, tie rod ends, timing chain, tail lights, drivers side window, panhard rod... Just the little things that were all failed/worn out as I drove it home.

great story ,I was born in maine but havent been there in a lot of years,I just recently traded for a 63 swb and I am going to do a 4x4 conversion with it.I live in Wheatland Wy which is only 50 miles from where you got your truck. If you ever get out this way again it would be nice to meet you.
