Re: My 85 chevy c10 build
Got my western chassis 2.5" drop spindles from the UPS man this afternoon! Seemed like it took forever but I got it all now! I'll try and get these on tomo and submit some pics with the complete kit installed! How hard are spindles to install? Wish me luck!

Re: My 85 chevy c10 build
Got my western chassis 2.5" drop spindles and 2.5" springs on the front with a set of nitro drop shocks installed this morning. It's actually an inch higher now but the ride is good and a whole lot smoother. Here are some pics. I might go a Lil lower in the future. I just hate to cut the brand new springs... lemme know what you think.

Re: My 85 chevy c10 build
Well today I wired up my driver window so I could use it. I don't have the harness so I had to figure it out on my own. After about an hour I got it rolling both ways. I also replaced the headlights. Then I had a visit to the tag agency where I got her tag up to date. I drove her home tonight. It had been at my parents sitting for the last 4 months or so...drove really good...minus the super loud motor with only block huggers and no exhaust. I'll have to get to the exhaust shop Monday and have the dual flowmaster 40's put back on. I'll get some driveway pics tomorrow!

Re: My 85 chevy c10 build
Looking good man. How tall are your front tires? Any rubbing issues on the inner fenders?

Re: My 85 chevy c10 build
Why cant you drop the front of yours? It's not too hard..even if you do it the cheap way...
and my front tires are 275 60 15 all the way around. It never rubbed at all and it turns all the way. There's about 3 in of clearance in the front. I feel like I want to go a little lower. I just don't want to run into any problems ya know. Thanks for the.compliments guys! |

Re: My 85 chevy c10 build
Dude you have a sweet project. I love the flat. Do you still have your old bed? The previous owner chopped mine up instead of doing a raised bed floor like i plan to do.

Re: My 85 chevy c10 build
Just got her back from the exhaust shop where I had them hook back up my 2 flowmaster 40's and dumped. They wouldn't fit after putting on the block huggers. Sounds good now and I got all the clearance i needed! Here's some pics!
