Thats the oddest advice I have ever heard. Maybe if your stuck on stock wheels and caps, but certainly not in aftermarket. There a gazillion wheels out there in 5x5 pattern. Trying to find a 6 lug wheel with the correct backspace is much harder to locate.

Regardless, the 73-87 disc conversion is the best bang for the buck.

Very nice truck man, i say the only thing you do is maybe upgrade the braking system and slam it with stock wheels and camper. See if the photochop guys can give you a visual.

regardless of wiring...that truck looks cherry. Its done!, in my opinion. if you dont keep the 6 lug, let me know. ill put those caps on either one of my GMCs, i dont care(im keepin 6 lug on both). Saludos, from Mesa.
