Re: pics of members 4x4's
Not currently running. Might be selling against my will. we'll see how it goes. have some better pics of it washed and cleaned up soon. If I can afford to keep it, it will hopefully be a 72 version of mudmizer, or something along those lines. That thing's badass man.

Re: pics of members 4x4's
Thanks, I see a bunch of nice trucks. I had my best times when I still lived in Texas, born and raised! I ran mostly mud then but not much of that going on here in washington.

I have been getting more excited about finishing the build. We have been getting alot done with the BW Cab and front sheetmetal. The build should be picking up pace in the next month or so. I hope to have it finished this summer.

Re: pics of members 4x4's
Couple pics of my '71 4x4 long bed. Custom/10, 350 w/4 spd and NP 205. New paint and body couple years ago, aftermarket 40/20/40 seat, added a floor shift tilt, factory tach, factory 69-72 tow hooks and coming up is a true factory am/fm when it gets out of the radio shop. Riding on 31-10.50's and rallies. Linex bed liner.

Its funny, I have a chrysler 300 with the High Output V6... a whopping 250hp motor. It gets 21 miles per gallon with 22" wheels, and is a nice car to drive. Everyone asks how I can afford to build such a non fuel efficient car with gas prices the way they are....... my response is they should do the math and get back to me. My truck at an estimated 10mpg on the high way, driving 1,000 miles per month at 3.50/gallon costs $350 in gas... and its IN YOUR FACE SCARY AWESOME!!! Chrysler 300 21mpg highway = $166 driving 1,000 miles. Thats a whopping $184 difference to drive my dream truck every day to work and back... Now, when you apply this logic to any other new fuel efficient car, and add in the massive price tag or monthly payment, my truck becomes much more economical, and way more fun to drive No, it's not a daily driver, but I'm starting to think it might be |

Re: pics of members 4x4's
Tink has the best S10 I've ever seen.
Yeah,I like it for being plain. I used to go for all the bells & whistles. But,for quite a while now it's been more rare to find a Plain Jane than a highly optioned truck, especially one with certain few specific options showing it was custom taylored for a buyer who knew what he wanted and didn't want. I'm staying with the plain theme. I like the Doeskin Tan solid paint which was used as part of the fleet program as well as part of the production color selection. It will have a 4" lift with 8-lug axles and 12.50/35-16 Goodyear MTRs on black D-hole steel wheels. But,the plan is to get 255/85-16 BFG M/Ts to mount on a new set of powder coated white stock 3/4t wheels I've been sittin' on for 20 years, then pop a set of factory dog dishes on. So,picture it as it is but heftier. Future plans would be a winch & bumper up front and a HD rear bumper with spare mount. Thia will be my adventure toy...good for hiway then go wherever once I'm there. I also have an Alpine stereo & amp with Kicker box and Polk Audio 6x9s.

Re: pics of members 4x4's
Here's my junk. 1973 K20, 4" all spring Rough Country suspension, completely rebuilt (in the process of) suspension, freshened up 350/350th NP205, hopefully sooner than later an LS swap, but that's in the future. Will add some 235/85/16 tires and keep the dog dish hub caps, and a pair of fuzzy dice.
