Yes mine is hei set up mine idled fine and reved fine but when in gear it stumbled like you say and the distributor was messed up but check your oil leve and what type of oil you using like 10 30 or what

Yes, I think its 10w30. When I checked it a week ago I think I had to add some.

Check it agian that will cause you pressure gauge to be wonky i reseald my valve covers and intake for oil leaks and the it developed an internal leak at the valve stem seal on cyl # 1 idk what the climate is like in san bruno but here in san diego north county 10 30 is the best for these old piles

Weather varies up here, its currently 65 F, but we've seen as high as 90 and as low as 45 or 50

Alright, thanks a lot to everyone that helped me out! The truck is running good, I just hear some scratching/grinding when I accelerate hard when I'm going 40+ but that's about it.

Can I worry now? I drove it home after my shift and halfway there it felt like someone was playing with the gas (on n off, on n off) and my foot was steady the whole time.

I had a friend of mine that's a mechanic check it out for me and he said that my fuel pump could be on its way out.

thats kinda where i am
i am considering replacing the lines just not wanting to right now
but i've been checkin over the lines for leaks
i'd say it's cheap insurance ,then rule it out!

Yeah, we're probably gonna swap it out Wednesday or Thursday. If we find rust particles in the pump then I'm gonna have to save enough to replace my gas tank and fuel lines.
