Re: Show us your original dealer emblems!

This is the rear of my 66. Same dealership I bought my last four cars from as well. I found my 66 locally as a one family owner recently.

Re: Show us your original dealer emblems!

Here's a crappy zoomed in pic of mine. Truck didn't actually come from McFalls new, but it was traded to them when my grandpa sold cars there and that's when he bought the truck. We have a couple of these emblems, so I thought it would be cool to put one on the truck.

My 61 Apache has a bumper sticker that says "alined at Kipps Edgeley ND" on rear bumper! Been there along time.

Re: Show us your original dealer emblems!

Cool thread idea! Here's mine, Beny Motors in Medicine Hat Alberta sold my truck new in '62! Found this photo of the dealership taken back in the early '70s I believe? This emblem was originally located on the hood passenger side near the cowl extension, however I relocated it to just below the tailgate drivers side.

Re: Show us your original dealer emblems!

Of course, I had the doors painted with my grandad's old used car lot. Later, I found this badge on eBay and thought it needed to be on there.

Re: Show us your original dealer emblems!

Here is my 66 with emblem. I have had no luck finding the dealer. They may be long gone. Unless someone out there knows about or remembers them.

Looks like we must have trucks from competing Denver dealerships.

wow! that's cool! I just found a 66 in a field with a Beny's logo. I think it was from Beny's in lethbridge though? I remember the Beny's in lethbridge when i was little. I'll check it out closer next time I'm in the area. It had the emblem on the passenger side fender.

Very cool! Does the emblem look the same as mine, but without the Medicine Hat part I assume? Mine was originally chrome & mounted to the passenger side of the hood next to the cowl extension. I did not want to drill holes in my hood to I moved it to the rear area. I have tried to do some online research about Beny Motors, seems the downtown Medicine Hat dealership moved to the Trans Canada Hwy, back in the late 70s or early 80s which is still a GM dealership today but under new ownership. You can see it on Google Maps. Post a pic of your emblem when you can, love to see it!

That's the first thing to go on any thing I buy. My 66 had a rear bumper that had dealer stamped in it. It went to scrap yard.

Here is mine off my 1963. Truck originally from somewhere in New Jersey. The PO replaced it after the repaint. Glad he did. Adds character.

Re: Show us your original dealer emblems!

I'd also like to know if anyone else has a truck from Murphy-Mahoney Chevrolet in Denver like I do. Have any of you Colorado folks ever seen a M-M license plate frame? Sure would like to find one.

Re: Show us your original dealer emblems!

I know, old thread, but here's mine.... It might be missing the dealer name on top? Would have been "Michael Chevrolet" in Muskegon from the 60's, 70's and early 80's.

Re: Show us your original dealer emblems!

I like this thread, glad it was brought back! But here is mine, lucky enough to be from my home town and the same dealership my father bought his 72 Monte Carlo brand new which he still has today. But it's on my 66 gmc.

Re: Show us your original dealer emblems!

Not sure where my 65 Suburban was sold in the West but I found this emblem on a mid 60's stepside in a salvage yard here in Cottonwood. Dealer is still in Flagstaff, Az. on Route 66.
