They will fit the hole but will have about an 1/8th gap, as the outside diam of the chrome vents is smaller than the defroster vents

$331, blast and coat alaskan black, I did trailing arms, control arms, cross member, and some misc parts in gloss that batch was also around $300, the key to saving some bucks is to scrape as much grime off as possible, use a big a** screwdriver to scrape out all the goo inside the front cross member, the bulk of the cost is in the sandblasting not the PD coating.

few more pics, I bought some fat mat off ebay, I got more than I needed for around $120, this stuff works great, sticks to anything, molds to any shape, I have been working on the wiring, the LMC cab mount kit has the incorrect rear bolts in it for the 65, went to ACE hardware for those, everything else in the kit was fine, will get my drive shaft in a couple days, had to go 3.5 inch Diam that is coming from Denny's will post a pic when its in

I am still loving this build. I just went on Friday and picked up my 1964 C10 BBW Short Fleetside and I plan to get started on my build in a couple of weeks. I know that copying in high school and college that you would fail if you copied somebody's work, but copying here means that you like the idea of what another builder did. I am definitely going to copy you on the AC vents and AC as well as the gas tank from CPP. I hope you don't mind me telling you I am going to copy you and I hope that I am copying your idea for the AC vents gives you some measure of satisfaction.

I plan on getting my truck out of my garage tomorrow afternoon and taking some pictures for the forum to see the start of my build. Finally, where did you get your frame and suspension parts powder coated? The reason I am asking is because I am about a 5 to 6 hour drive from DFW area and I am curious if you live in that area? I plan on powder coating the frame and suspension parts on my truck as well.

Your build is coming along, looking good, I went with 275 60 15, looks good, think they will work good with the 2.5 front and 2 inch rear drop

Few more pics, I ran into a bad leak, oil pressure dropped so I shut it down, I waited a couple weeks then pulled motor and tranny tuesday, the load level tool I picked up from harbor freight is greatness made it easy. The gallery plugs which I supplied to machine shop were flush and one had fallen out, I converted the center bolt VC to the early version and look much better, I wanted more options on routing of the plug wires

well the positive on pulling the motor and tranny was I was able to clean up and do a better job on the electrical routing, here is a couple pics from this morning, I installed the billet plug wire mount, much better than what i could do with he center bolt covers, also put in a deep tranny pan and filter extension, painted the cab in a friends garage, but will do the final paint in a booth

Thanks for all the input, here are a couple more pics, currently working on the bed and hood but getting close, also been working thru some bugs, changed to ceramc headers, as the powdercoated pair I had seem to get too hot, the ceramics run cooler, also changed the wheel, been driving around the block with the open headers getting mixed input on that.....but sounds good to me, I have all the vents run now don't have an updated pic of that, real happy with the air flow from each vent (old air)

Been racing QTR migets with my 7 year old, we love it, I'm much closer on the build, the bed panels were a #@$%&@, got all the pieces now, will paint the panels and finish the cab in the booth buff in the garage and put this thing on the road, meant to put this thread in the build section, ya'll have a great 4th

No problems with the kit, the hoses have just one fitting crimped, they will crimp for free, I had the tool so it was quick and painless, the big reason I went with them is I liked the plug and play switch for the dash, comes with an electric heater control valve too. Unit blows great got good flow from all 4 vents I installed

Grill and tailgate from Top Bannana, I got the grill with the headlight buckets installed, eazy pezy, put together a 2nd motor for the quarter miget, they come set for 2700 RPM, after you gut em they will run 5800

Painted the inners today, also got some door glass in bought off ebay with the channels installed (very nice and packed well) pic of my sail trim. I fitted the bumper, had to trip 3 inches off the top to clear the gear box, I had already cut some off where it contacts the frame also to clear the later version gear. Will clean up the spot welds on the tailgate and shoot the bed panels
