Re: building 1958 chevy suburban

Some backround, Bought burban for $ 600 out of montana , and spend $800 to ship it to Tucson, AZ. Its in pretty good shape considering where it came from, only major rust is in lower rear panel corners.

Interior, going with 4 bucket seats, and wood floor strips like a pickup bed.

Re: building 1958 chevy suburban

Decided to scrap the 10 bolt I had for the burban today, too many issues, and go with a blazer rear end with disk. That puts the 4-link install on hold for a few days. I did manage to get some crossmembers in and holes filled and cleaned up on the frame today. Frustrating when things dont work out, how you planned.

By request, NOT trying to thread jack.

bumper, grill, headlight rings are chrome now, and added a visor, almost forgot about the seats ( all 3 factory).

Picked up rear the blazer rear end friday from a local junk yard, 200 bucks. Everything looks good on it, hope to mock it in tomorrow.

Made some progress this weekend, got 4-link tacked in and filled about 30 of the 40 holes on the firewall. Ridiculous....
