Re: NOS Floor mat
This is the guideline I use for only buying NOS parts for my vehicles. If the part is visible when installed and has a visible GM trademark or part number i.e. GUIDE, AC DELCO, GM or a production part number as in this floormat right up the center of the hump. Then I want an original GM piece for authenticity. My 56 Bel Air and 60 Vette had NOS tail lights when they got restored because as in the 56 the back side of the gas door clearly reflects GUIDE and the GM part # everytime you pull open that gas door. If I would have to read some aftermarket casting marks or made in China symbols on a part after installed, I would take a pitted piece of factory original castings on my vehicle long before I would go aftermarket. Then I just keep looking for better used original or a NOS piece to replace it with. Call me anal but to each his own vehicle and pocketbook priority.

Re: NOS Floor mat
any word on repo mats?
i would be one of those guys that would need several, both low and high hump, and they could be foreign made, don't care. maybe something in the $150 to $175 price range. who used to make them? perhaps they still have the molds and can gear-up again. its been years since i've seem them and the demand must be big by now. |

Re: NOS Floor mat
should probably post in the classifieds but...
Does anyone have an old high hump mat that I can scavange the hump section from? I've gone from low hump to high and my mat is still fine I'm thinking I can maybe graft them together with some fancy craft work. BTW, the hump was already cut for a three on the floor by PO so not really any good for anyone wanting a nice low hump... thx
