Re: Pancake problem :(
Dino, if I had the money id def just buy a dropmember but I have more time than money lol. And I just picked up another crossmember that im gona do than swap. What would you suggest cutting out of it? 1 3/8"? 1 1/2"? Thanks in advance.
Scoti, for a while now, ill see someone starting to section a crossmember in there build. Then a month goes by and no progress. And all of sudden new pics of the porterbuilt boxes showing up in the mail lol. Just seems like everyone gives up on doing it, i could never figure why. Looks like a great product that I can't afford lol. Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: Pancake problem :(
Dino, no problem man. I really appreciated the advice! I was only concerned thinking I did something wrong. I only did 1" on my pancake but even if I did 1 3/8 I highly doubt it would lay. I'm just going to cut the frame again, no big deal.

Re: Pancake problem :(
Zippeay, in that pic where it shows the gap between the bottom of the frame and ground, how much of a difference is that? Like an inch or so? I may pancake mine 1 1/2" then if I get ambitious z the frame 3/4" or whatever the difference is, idk lol.

Re: Pancake problem :(
My frame is 3/4 of an inch from laying. Do not pancake your's that much! I was told to not go any more than 1 3/8s or you will run into a bunch of problems. I think the theory behind doing a pancake is so you don't have to Z the frame as much as you would normally have to do. Zing the frame isn't hard at all, just make sure you put some gussets in to put some strength back in the frame. Good luck
