Man that is nice. Let the cat out of the bag. What's this going to cost us. This setup is a no brainier. Good work.

We will have pricing shortly. Pricing will be in line with our C10 kits.

Re: Porterbuilt bolt-in IFS subframe for 55-59
What about ride height? We have some guys who want independent front ends but want the truck to ride at stock height.

This is the first one out of the gate for the 55-59 product base, and satisfies a niche that hasn't really been addressed yet. This set up is the pavement pounder, and will be for the guys wanting to ride ultra low. We started out in the C10 market the same way.... ultra low, and then slowly added different variations for those not wanting such a radical stance. We will do the same here. As time progresses we will be offering this in multiple height configurations and doing the same for the rear.

Re: Porterbuilt bolt-in IFS subframe for 55-59
[QUOTE=Porterbuilt Street Rods;5504720]I am working on putting it together as a spindle to spindle kit, with power rack, lines, linkage, sway bar, bags, shocks, and then have some brake options. Looks like it's gonna come in around $3300-$3400 as a spindle to spindle package. Of course, we can always offer it a la carte if one would want to supply their own bags, spindles, shocks, and steering components. Tell us what you guys think.
A arms? Looks pretty consistent with whats listed on your website as far as pricing. IIRC you mentioned on another thread about coil-overs being possible but that would require tubular A arms. Any info on pricing breakdown for that would be nice. Not sure if I will go air or static, but it will take me some time and selling off some projects to get some scratch together anyway. And offcourse the biggie what does the hub-to-hub width come in at? Realizing that this would vary slightly with the spindle used (stock vs dropped vs CPP modular). Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: Porterbuilt bolt-in IFS subframe for 55-59
looks awesome. Not trying to being a douche, but how strong is a bolt in kit compared to that of a weld in setup?

I would bolt this into my truck and drive the heck out of it WITH my wife and kids on board. This design is more than strong enough, and the bolt in application eliminates some of the concerns that present themselves with a weld in application. The vast majority, if not all of truck enthusiasts/home builders that would purchase this product know how to drill a hole and tighten a bolt.... on the other hand, there is a much smaller number of enthusiasts/home builders who would be considered as competent weldors. Hope that makes sense. Nate

We build all our kits per order, and want to get our customers the set-up that is designed to work best at their desired ride height. There's a lot of questions we ask, and a lot of planning on the customers end so that we get it right the first time. That's why we have three different Dropmember variations for the C10 trucks. Not everybody is looking for the same ride height. We will eventually incorporate this same thought process into the 55-59 front ends. Nate

Nate, based on pricing listed on your website and what your saying is included in the KIT here that looks like a great deal: pls correct me if this looks off. dropmember -1100. A-arms(tube)-1050. power rack -289. linkage -189. shocks -90 airbags -150 swaybar -250 spindles -300 ( 2" drop modular from the CPP website) $ 3,418.00 offcourse the brakes and associated hardware would need to be sourced but the aftermarket is rife with c-10 brakes options |

Yes. When do you think you'll have a system for the AD trucks.
