1962 GMC K15 Project

I don't really know much about where this truck came from or any history but the paperwork I have for it says "abandoned", so I really know nothing about how long it's been sitting for or why it's not running. It was at a towing yard that needed to get it off their lot. I've been looking for a 60-66 Chevy/ GMC for quite some time 'till I came across an ad on Craigslist for this truck for $1000. It is mostly complete other than 2 spark plug wires, air cleaner, battery, and oil dipstick. Went to check it out the next day. We hooked up some jumper cables to see if it turned over and it turns over fine but sounds like it may need a starter motor too. It seemed like a good deal but I was able to haggle him down a bit and ended up paying $850. I don't know how great of a deal I got but hope it works out good. If anyone would like to give me advice on where to start It would be greatly appreciated.
