Re: got a present from my neighbor last night

I dont even know what to say about that... I would be SUPER mad. Could have even been someone just turning around in his driveway, BUT if you ever see a vehicle there again that matches that taillight, then thats probably it. Dont you have 3rd party liability insurance? Here in BC Canada we cant drive without it. If someone smashed my truck in a hit and run, I would just pay $300 deductable and it would be repaired no matter how bad the damage. If the damage exceeded the value of the truck then they would just write me a check.

Re: got a present from my neighbor last night

I don't know what the world is coming to with people that will not own up to their mistakes. It seems like something is always someone else's fault. I found long ago it is easier to sleep at night to own up to things and let the cards fall where they may. They only make a bad situation worse by trying to hide. When you do that, you never know when you will come across someone with a screw loose who doesn't care about repercussions.

I once had a renter that always paid on time. I had rented to him and his wife before with no problem. This time he showed up and never mentioned divorce. After he moves in I see him minus wife, but with an "old hide" with him. Right off the bat he was always late (every month) late but I never charged him for it. After a year hide gets a DWI with kids in car, loses job because she lost license and worked at uhaul. I told him it wasn't working out and he needed to move. It was the 15th of the month and they had only paid half the rent. (he only paid a deposit when he moved in because we had history. I was trying to help him by nit charging late fees this time because he had child support to pay since his wife left- now I know why) Hide wants his money back for half month rent. I say no, they move, leave junk because he says he doesn't have room but take a nice gas grill that was supposed to stay. 2 weeks later my wife gets a letter from someone saying their wife was having an affair with me. Coincidentally post marked from hide's new zip code. (they didn't know I knew where they went).luckily my wife knew it was a joke.

Re: got a present from my neighbor last night

Luckily none of these antics involved any of my trucks. Otherwise it would have been ugly

Seriously? Last time I checked the penalty for assault was harsher than the penalty for hit and run...

look on the light its self you can find a few numbers on it. type them into google and will come right up with what it came off of. had to do this when a honda ran into the back of my buddys car and the car drove off.

Agreed. When you see the van again, (if ever) im sure it will have a new rear lamp. And if so, the new light will have different numbers than the stock one on the otherside. Then youll know for sure.
