Re: Heater Hose Routing Re-Visit

Welcome to the board. Lots of diagrams out there. Simply: lower heater core to intake manifold, upper heater core to water pump. Some applications have the upper hose going into the radiator but then the circulation is not as good and does not keep the heater core as hot. Good luck with getting some heat in your ride.

Re: Heater Hose Routing Re-Visit

Thanks for the ideas, I found that I do not need one of the temp sensors I have since the PO installed and after market one with the fans. I will remove it and move the fan sensor over and throw a nipple in the manifold. I will keep everyone posted as to the results.

Thanks to all for the advice and assistance, more to come.

Re: Heater Hose Routing Re-Visit

OK All, I HAVE HEAT!!!! LOL, thanks so much for all the help. What I ended up doing was installing the vacuum valve on the intake manifold line, added the vacuum hose, capped the waterpump port, add an intake inlet and rewired the fan temp sensor to use my original temp sensor on the block. All works well and I can get cool air if the weather is better. This will work great until I complete the AC install and I am in line with the valve as well.

Thank you all for your assistance.. Here's the pics...

Re: Heater Hose Routing Re-Visit

That looks great, now you have to figure out how to hook up that compressor! Did you have anything in mind?
