I used to drive my 65 and take my daughter ( now 25) to school up until she was a junior in HS, the only time she complained was when I had to use her mom's minivan, she said it was so lame! All the kids sometimes would crowd around it and look at it. My daughter liked it cuz it helped with her reputation of being " that girl who's dad has a cool truck".

My two daughters were picked up and drove to prom in this...that's my youngest daughter here...

Well my story does NOT have a happy ending like yours. And it involve the WIFE. The kids had to use the safe and non-deathtrap vehicle a (ferd) aerostar van for a job and my wife was working late at school. So about 6 pm late summer day and rain. I pull up in a somewhat matching grey ’64 chevy bomb, which a screaming throw out bearing. I pull and I swear she is ignoring me, she finally gets in and tells me next call her and let her walk the 2 blocks.
