Re: a few questions regarding vin/reg

Not trying to be rude, but you need to stop worrying about where the vins are on this and part it out...use what you want....and move on to another. There is a vin on the upper frame rail as mentioned...on my 67 it's near where the steering gear is but I've heard of it being further back on later models where you have to use a mirror to find it.

Also, A/C parts can be valuable (controller, vents on the side of the dash, and of course anything under the hood)

Don't call an inspector...you could have to pay the fees no matter what. Don't pursue titling this any more. It's a complete waste of time and money.

Re: a few questions regarding vin/reg

Looks like the cab itself is junk anyways but everything else is good. I'd say keep everything but the cab and throw a new cab on her. I don't think it'll be hard to replace the cab and then you will have one that is legit. For 375, I'd say you did alright, you just have some work to do. I did something similar years ago with mine where I had to swap out the chassis but had a good cab. You have the opposite. It's workable.

Re: a few questions regarding vin/reg

looks like it's running serpentine belts and has a new style PS pump. i'd be skeptical that the engine is original, unless someone went through the hassle of putting all new accessories on the front of a 307. you got a parts truck. now go buy one with a title and VIN
