Worst case scenario, if you ruined the cooler to leak coolant externally, would be to put a pipe plug in it top and bottom to seal it then you would have to run external only. I know this is a old thread, but the specs. for the champion radiator say that the coolant line threads in the radiator are 1/2" -20.....not the right size for the stock flare nuts on the coolant lines. Maybe that's why some of you are stripping the threads ???

I installed a champion radiator a few months ago and the tranny cooler lines fit fine, no leaks either. Fingers crossed

Same here new 4 row champion. Nice radiator for the money except the internal trans cooler is why I went with this brand. Now I get the impression they don't think I know how to install inverted flared fittings. Looks like I am going to have to drill and tap.
