Re: Remember that time I let someone borrow my truck?
i had no shift indicator when i had an automatic. let 2 other people drive, they had to try the gear to find which one was drive. haha. they could have counted 3 clicks down but thats too hard. no one drives my truck unless i am in it.

Re: Remember that time I let someone borrow my truck?
I let my step father borrow my truck once. He broke my CB antenna in a parking garage. I was upset. From then on out I never did let him use it. Only other time I let anybody use my truck was my buddies wife. She needed to get home from our race to go to church so I let her drive my truck. She spun tires out of the parking lot. Always get a laugh out of that....Glad to see you're working on your truck and making progress.

Re: Remember that time I let someone borrow my truck?
Man, there's a lot of cool markings everywhere inside that engine. Interesting to see. It's also interesting to see those intake ports haven't changed in 35-40 years or so. I'm surprised they still use cork gaskets too. It's screaming for some chevy orange paint. Cool story and cool rebuild. You'll be back in the saddle in no time.
When somebody wants to borrow one of my vehicles, most likely it will be one of the trucks rather than one of my Caddys. the trucks are easier to fix.

Re: Remember that time I let someone borrow my truck?
Your taking this well and definitely turning it into a big positive. I hate hearing this happened but your write up is great.
The only way anyone will drive my truck without me in the cab is if I am in a casket in the back..... with the exception of my son but he will have to prove he knows what is what a couple times first....
