Too much cam, not enough converter, not enough CR for the cam ( that cam needs at least 10:1), valves out of adjustment( too tight), vacuum leak, initial timing too low, just a few things that come to mind.

Start with valve adjustment, no more than 1/2 turn past zero lash.

Best advice would be to swap that cam for something at least 10º smaller if this is a street driven truck.
