Not sure what is happening....I made a deal with the seller and he agreed to hold the truck for us.
Scheduled to pick up next week....will see what happens.

He sure bumped the price a lot from the $1200 he bought it for! That must be one heck of a wash job he did on it!

Seller seems very shady and unethical to repost it.

Seems sketchy to me too! Don't know why he would relist it if a deal had been made on it. Hope it works out.

I wouldn't sweat it too much. No telling what kind of craigslist crazies he's hearing from and is probably not considering it sold until cash shows up.

Talked with the vendor today....everything is on track.

As Bruiser noted ...you can never be sure of who you are dealing with on Craigslist and he may not have been convinced a Canadian really wanted the truck.

Re: Hey all you sport truck guys this one just popped up here in Phoenix

Truck has made it 1500 miles north to Canada....

Looks good....dry Arizona unit....perfect rockers and underneath...faded original paint

Sun baked interior ...will have to change out door panels

Pulled off the aftermarket wheels that it came with and put the correct PA6 factory white spokes on

As a bonus found it has the dash mounted aux light switch which means it was the 9J9 COPO and originally came with the roll bar as well.

Now I just have to find a correct roll bar...or sport bar as GM called it

Truck looks great with the right rims. What size tires did you use?
Hope you find the right bar for it, I have had no luck trying to find one for my fleetside.

80SPORT-Congrats--Looks Good. Are you working to get the Decals done for the other side?
Good luck on that engine compartment also; from what I've seen of it you have your work cut out for you. Larry

I had the rims with 10:00/15 tires already from another truck that we changed to factory aluminum wheels.
I may build a bar;it would be nice to know the dimensions...but if I get it close based on the pictures I doubt that anyone will be able to say it is wrong. The tailgate mounted spare will be harder to make a correct mount for as I do not have any detail on that.

Did it have the tailgate mounted spare from the factory? I have only seen it in the magazines.

Once the truck got here I found the stripes are painted on;they are faded and most of the paint appears original so I think it may have been done when the truck was fairly new.One other truck I know of had the stripes painted on under warrantee;the originals had peeled and the owner did not want that to happen again. So as far as a correct layout I cannot be certain but it looks very close....they would have had the originals to copy.We may just clean up the truck and try and match up the stripes on the passenger side. The right front fender has been changed and we will change out the rh door...or reskin it.My 76 Sport has faded original paint so if I can clean up the passenger side of the 77 to match the drivers it may stay original as well.

Re: Hey all you sport truck guys this one just popped up here in Phoenix

80Sport: Surpirsed on the painted stripes as they are a very complicated stripe.(Tone and color) Good luck again and thanks for the update. Keep us informed. Larry
P.S. Sounds like your nice truck had a very rough life.

Re: Hey all you sport truck guys this one just popped up here in Phoenix

This truck has been for sale several times over the years. It has factory bucket seats and it is a trailering special. That roll bar is correct also. The stripes are not correct, but it is a real sport. In 77 there was no z code for the sport. Only 9j8 or 9j9.
