Small progress yesterday, got the fuel filler neck installed and the engine misfire figured out.

I've really been enjoying these video updates. Those new turn signals are very nice. What did they run you?

Re: 84 K10 Custom Deluxe 5.3 build
Thanks! I picked up a sport and a step bumper from craigslist. I need to figure out which one I want to use. Install the radio, wash it with CLR, reupholster the seat etc....
Yeah it was a blast! I thought it would be tough with my stiff clutch and less leg room than the blazer, but it is not bad. I installed new sway bar bushings the other night so I'm sure those helped too the other ones were toast. Pic of it at the food spot. |

Looks like a lot of fun. Are you planning on painting it at all?

I really like the way you added the newer fuel module to the tank. That'll save me from looking for newer EFI tanks. Does the fuel level sender from the '03 module work with the stock '84 gauge? |

Re: 84 K10 Custom Deluxe 5.3 build
No unfortunately, but you could keep the original sender and put the 03 off to the side.

Today I did an update video, but the video was muffled by the wind so instead all you get is the dirt donuts!

Re: 84 K10 Custom Deluxe 5.3 build
I like it.
Makes me wish I had gone with an LS. Also, wish I had some good wheeling areas like that nearby! |

Thanks! I have an Iron LS1 balanced sitting in my garage if you reconsider!

Seems like when I started my build, an LS in one of these trucks was rare and mysterious. Now they are the swap of choice! If I was doing it all over again today, I think an LS motor would be the way to go. |

Re: 84 K10 Custom Deluxe 5.3 build
I got out and cleaned up my Adopted cove on the Colorado river, ended up with two half filled bags, and some other junk. All in all it was a good clean up. Got some good pics and it wouldn't be an update without video!
