Re: Where was your truck born??
Mine was 'born' in Fremont, and was sold at a Chevrolet dealership in a small town about 50 miles away from here. I think it's been in my area it's whole life. (Picture is of my truck's 'good side'...The other side...Not so good!

Re: Where was your truck born??
My 68 Stepper was "born" in Atlanta, Ga. Sold new at a Chevy dealership in Cedartown, Ga. my grandfather. Second owner was one of my uncles. Third owner was one of my cousins. Fourth owner and being "reborn" by me. I don't recall this truck ever being more than at most 150 miles from original purchase place and don't recall this truck ever leaving the state.

Re: Where was your truck born??
My '67 K/10 Suburban, "Whitefang" was produced in Fremont, Calif.
[ BBC 454/TH350/NP205/--rear cannibalized for '71 GMC. Ran hard from '93 to '98 and put away wet after small engine fire. Future project.] '68 C/10 Stepside "Orange Sunshine". Fremont's finest. [L6 292/SM465/3.73 Eaton posi. Daily driver since 1973, just survived broken exh valve spring on # 4 Cyl. Running good again.] '71 K/1500 GMC Jimmy 4x4, "Blue Thunder." Made in St Louis, MO. [SBC 350/SM465/NP205/12-Bolt Corp 3.73, Auburn Posi, Moser axles -- off '67 K/10. Work truck, fun truck, currently at tire shop waiting on new 33x12.50R15 replacement under warranty]. '72 K/5 Blazer tub, "Phantom of the Junkyard.'' Flint, Mich. product. No motor or trans, rear is 3.08, no idea what ratio in front D44. Future project w/ L6 292/SM465/T221. I have a doghouse of '70 and '72 sheetmetal to go on it. No top. Like 1/2 top "Trazer'' or ragtop ideas. Currently unfunded project. And I was _born_ in Tarrytown, NY.

Re: Where was your truck born??
Both are California natives, Fremont being their place of birth. Kinda funny to think that after 40+ yrs, they really have gone nowhere!

1972 GMC Super Custom built at the Oshawa Truck Assembly in Oshawa, Ontario Canada in May 1972. It was delivered to Smyl Pontiac, Buick GMC Ltd. in Mayorthorpe Alberta, Canada and has lived all of its life surviving the harsh Alberta winters.
