Frank, can you tell us the difference between the van & truck am/fm radios ??
Is it obvious or hard to differentiate ? Thanks

Re: WTB Original FM Radio

The 3 major differences that I can think of is: the roll drum numbers are different style, the lenses are different, different Delco script, the truck one is on the right side and the van has it on the left side of the lens. The antenna hook up is on the right rear side of the truck and the van is on the right side on the bottom.

Re: WTB Original FM Radio

That's a good deal! I was pleased with my last am/fm rebuild, which was done by Greg at S/M Electrotech (http://www.turnswitch.com/) - he also sells US made replacement speakers for our trucks at a very reasonable price.

Hi Frank,
Thank you for replying to my WTB post. The AM/FM truck radio looks like what I want to buy. I'll send payment via PayPal.

Thank you, I'm looking forward to getting this next mod going and the truck deck you're selling me is the first step.

Merry Christmas!

Re: WTB Original FM Radio

...also, at one point, one of our members had recreated the truck version AM/FM drum decal. There might be one floating around out there somewhere.

Re: WTB Original FM Radio

DeadheadNM is correct Electrotech in Minnesota does very nice work. I own the speaker you mentioned and it is excellent quality and fit. It does not make since to re-cone a crapper. On negative, when I called them last fall the were no longer accepting radios. They stated to much work in line. Bruce
