Looks like my thread took on a life of it's own. I ended up using a tarp over the sides of the bed and setting off bug bombs. So far so good.

I usually find 1 a year in my garage, in the same spot. My project truck had a lot of eggs and webs in it. I torched them all with a propane torch. Like others said, they won't bother you unless provoked. They rarely get a few feet off the ground, and are nearly blind. They are not going to come out and bite you, unless they have a reason to.

Just get Justin beibers CD and play it all night. The spiders will eventually kill themselves to escape the pain.
