The level of difficulty depends on your personal skills and available equipment.

Re: 64 c10

Hey folks I've got another frame question. I was wondering is it possible to fit a 64 cab and short bed on a 90 model truck frame.

Re: 64 c10

Anything can be done! skill level and budget need to be considered. I'm working on a 66 with a slim budget. When I started I was going to mount the 66 on an 88 frame that I got a smoking deal on. Once I had the 88 stripped and started lining the 66 cab on the 88 frame I found I was way outta my league! I went back to the 66 frame. I shortened it and rolled a front crossmember from a 72 under the front along with the rearend for all around five bolt. Added a front sway bar and a power steering bracket. Very Happy with the progress at this point. Well within my comfort level to complete. Other than a buddy coming over to weld up the step notch for me it has been unbolt and rebolt kinda stuff drilling the odd hole. Way easier everthing has gone very smooth. Then throw in replacing inner rockers and cab mounts it is nice having the original frame to line everything up to. Good luck with which ever way you decide to go.

Re: 64 c10

WAY WAY more work that it's worth. The '88+ frames are greatly different than the '63-'72 frames, which is what you need.
