Oh my. I can see why you want to switch. Your setup now is cray cray unsafe. Wooden mounts :| good luck! I thought about switching seats eventually at one point to power and everything but I take my dog and have a passenger so buckets wouldn't work. A 60 40 seat would. Again, good luck hope it turns out.

Yeah I don't think the 4x4 was factory equipment. I won't put my kid in it until it's safe and secure. I just think the po was tryin to build a hot rod on a budget. A lot of stuff needs to be sorted out on it.
