My tires are about 25 inches and I've had to remove about half of my hood hinge. So it would not hit when it wasbagged out. I' looking for a hinge alternitive.

I just use an old S10 hood prop. It sits behind the latch, and I just lay it there till I need it.

The hinge? Doooood, I have a 32" tire, and there's not a single problem with my hinge. I had to take the spring part off, but that's it.

Progress seems to come in spurts. All the recent work has been on hood hinges and the firewall. It has a 245/40/20 on the front so there was the hinge problem to deal with. Alot of time was spent on the hinges and it's to bad it is not something than can be replicated and sold as a kit. It is all concealed in side the truck and uses torsion bars. See we kind of kept this on topic. This is not a very good pic.

Wow, very cool hinge. You know, its those little details that take forever to make your ride stand out. Stuff like that just makes one stare at it for hours trying to figure out what is different about it. I cant wait to see the finished product.

Rear Tire Size
I have a 1968 fleetside that I'm working on, and I would like to fill the space between the frame and the inner fender well with tire, without cutting the frame.
It has a stock rear end. However, I have a 61" ford 9" that I could use. My 1st measurement is to use a 12" wide tire with an 5" offset. I think that I might be able to use a wider tire. If anyone has done this the information is greatly appreciated. Merl 1968 Shortbed l |
