I do have one.
They are fiberglass.
EXCELLENT copy.
Flat and rigid.
Quality piece!
I would use a thin rubber gasket on the back side to make them seal up nice against the firewall.

Payment was sent for the panel.

I'll send you another PM with a list. I also left voicemail for you. I don't want to hijack my own thread with parts that are not relevant to heater delete.

Here are a couple of more pictures taken outside, this interior control delete plate is a very nice piece with no issues. These are a lot harder to locate than the firewall delete plate, we are looking for $225. plus $11.40 for USPS priority insured shipment on the interior heater control delete plate. If you decide to pass, Poncho_peso is next inline. Thanks, Mel.

In my opinion, the holes, scratches and worn paint only add to it. I can't wait to get it. Way cooler than a new one.

Thanks again Mel for providing a rare part at a reasonable price.

Is that plate blue with silver and black? My 67 plate is all fawn.

If those two pass, put me in line.

Those are reproduced.
Many Chevrolet muscle car parts businesses sell them.
Look on eBay also

I can get a Chinese made copy on eBay for less than $50.

I'd rather have a 50 year old original one. I know that they're out there, I just have to find it.

Ok, your interest has been noted and if it does fall too you, it will ship along with the firewall plate for free. Had you only mentioned from the start that you may consider having/purchasing another (2nd) interior control delete plate then it would have been yours for the taking. About the interior control delete plate color, when I first saw this one it sure did remind me of a painted 67 style glove box door (see below pics) but this plate was original to the 70 it was removed from as listed on the spid. We also have another interior heater control delete plate in 522/med. bronze (NOT F/S) that has been shown/shared/linked here on the site several times over the years, we have had it for about fifteen years and have turned down several high dollar offers in that time. Mel

Current Order of interest

Firewall Heater delete plate: *SOLD*/ghalperin

Interior control delete plate: invicta455, Pancho_peso, ghalperin

You didn't get screwed.
The op of this thread is a subscribing member and wanted to buy parts.
If you became a subscribing member also you could start your own thread.

BUT this is his thread.
Pay to buy and sell your own parts in your own thread.

What is there left to comment about? We posted our reply back too you in the previous post #22. Your interest was noted, you were placed in line and now both parts have been sold/paid for, its time to move on...

Judging by how things went am guessing that these items must be somewhat hard to locate or something? After looking back through the thread a second and even third time, am pretty sure that no sort of a jacking occurred here. The buyer-o/p asked for and purchased the item that he originally posted the WTB thread for, the seller/us stated from the jump, that yes we can supply you with that but it is part of a two piece set, let us figure out the price split for breaking the set apart. We see parts groups get broken up all the time around here, example: Joe states I'll take/get in line on the other piece since John already has and doesn't need that part of the setup. Mel

Has the panel been shipped? I haven't received any tracking info. Although I purchased my part at a fair price, all the negativity in this post is bugging me.

Glenn, I realize that you are a newer member here but please rest assured that you will get your delete plate. We have dealt with hundreds of people here and there is not one person that can say they have had any problems getting their parts from us, never even so much as a slow ship issue either in the ten years that we've been here. In the message that was sent to you containing our info for making the payment, we had stated that all parts will ship within 24 hours of confirmed payment (excluding weekends), given that you had just sent payment last night, it hadn't even been but a half a day before your above posted reply? Your delete plate has been shipped, the package went out USPS priority insured Thur. 08/25, and the projected delivery date listed on the postal receipt is Mon. 08/29. Thanks, Mel.
