Good choice! I wish I could have hung onto mine like that in Medium Blue and White. More rare than a Cheyenne Super. My buddy has it and when the restoration is done it will be one mighty fine example of a K/20

If only one, I would have to agree that the 68 front end on a K20 long fleet chassis would be fantastic.

Thank god we can have more than one. There are to many great options out there.

72 K/20 350 4 speed. Lucky for me as well I've got what I want. I'd add custom camper to it if could.

You my friend have very very nice taste!

Ol blue K20- funny I thought seriously about saying I wanted Pete's truck too!
I'm pretty surprised at the love the K trucks are getting in this thread, sometimes it seems like they are the red headed step child when compared to the short fleet c10s. I'll be a 4x4 guy till the day I die.

I'm really surprised there aren't more C10 Short Fleets. I figured those would dominate.

I think most like them more for the $$ value of the Truck. If told you can only have 1 more truck that they cant sell forever I bet more people actually choose other than short 2wd. They are kind of like a glorified car i you use it like a truck lol.

I have noticed that this site has become geared far more towards stocking style builds. A lot of the custom guys have taken their builds and gone elsewhere. It seems to have become acceptable to belittle the custom stuff. And most of that custom stuff involves the aforementioned shortbox fleet sides. So this thread will be missing those guys.

Proves my point.

Proves my point.
I see the opposite. Plenty of custom stuff is everywhere, especially in the build threads. and plenty of short beds. There always has been and always will be the stock restoration crowd when it comes to one of the greatest vehicles to ever leave the factory. That is where the following originates from. I don't see the belittling. Heck, it seems a huge amount of people here feel the truck won't move until it has a computerized LS in it and it's chopped to lay frame or try to handle like a sports car. Many seem to be only interested in the body style as a canvas for the same old sh!t people are doing to most anything old, leaving nothing but the body 67-72. If I speak up on that it's to preserve some sort of mentality to respect them enough to not put all to the point of no return. Personally, I have never left a truck stock.

One man's point of view never proves anything. But, you do see a lot of posts that reflect the owner's emphasis on the trucks value over all else. It seems many expect to get a profit when selling with pleasure gained not even factored in. That's where I profit. I just spend to enjoy.

Re: You can only choose one, period!

Considering that I live in South West Torrance, CA, I would select a C10, short bed, step side, power steering, power disc brakes, 350 v8 and automatic transmission. Which is what I have. Easy to manouver in stop and go traffic, easy to park, good stopping power and easily keeps up with occasional freeway traffic. Not used for hauling or work, just pleasure crusing. Fits all of my needs.

Re: You can only choose one, period!

I got my truck from dad, I will have to keep it as long as my parents are alive or they would be insulted, so I really can't chose what I prefer.

1972 swb Custom 10. 3ott, bench seat, power brakes and steering that dad put on.

Now if something happened to it, I'd replace it with a LWB version or the 1 tonner stepside.
