Hey, I just found this thread and I am interested. I am new to this era of trucks, but I have already learned alot from the people on this board. Count me in.

Classicheartbeat and Wes
I am founding member of club Wes has. He has good start to his club forum, etc. I am from Oregon but don't think state lines matter. If WA. side is bigger and more active so be it. I know Phillip Johnson and others in Oregon have expressed some interest in OR. get togethers also. If Wes is ok with it I would support expanding on his start. I would be interested and help with OR. chapter!! Most of this would be for rallying folks on get-togethers and support. I'm always looking for good excuse to get out of honey-dos!!

Bob, I have always supported the clubs expantion. This was something that all of you founding members voted on and approved a long time ago. All I am doing with the club is providing the means for the club to get starded, the name to call it, web space, and boards to comunicate with each other with. Everything just kind of petered out. I don't know why, I guess people lost interest. Everything is still in place for it though.. WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com

ok guys
Now can't we pickup (no pun intended) and see if we can use club, rules, board, etc. of what is already started? Maybe with new found interest a few changes can be made to accomodate others and their concerns and interests.
Wes had show and shine earlier this year as well as some WA. members had another get together. This was good start. I would really like to get up to WA. and join in as well as get-togethers here in OR. I think it would be fun to tour with a few others to bigger shows as well as our own. Here in my area our trucks don't get alot of representation. Usually they have classes of their own in summer car shows but not many entries. I beleive and I think others do to that our trucks may have one fo the biggest followings on classics today. Many of us don't have the high dollar trucks like 1st gen. Camaros but we represent alot of the regular guy i.e. these and were working class trucks that we grew up in. THANK YOU WES!!

This looks good to me. I need to turn my brain on as I just had Corvette problems this morning and have the smell of gas all over me. A car that gets driven 500 miles a year and I just happened to drive it this morning with a fresh tank of the good stuff and it is running like crap. I think my Vette is going to take the better part of my day.. I do like the club idea and will connect with the other Grants Pass members and talk about it!
thanks for the heads up! |
