My "garage" find
This all started a few months back. My neighbors were selling off some stuff that their family didn't want after the parents had passed. I bought a few things and they had a truck in the driveway the was "being sold to someone in Alaska". I told them if the sale fell through to let me know. My daughter ended up buying the house. Close to escrow closing the sale of the truck fell trough and we struck a deal.
It's a 1969 C10 that wasn't sold until 1971 to the family I bought it from. It was sold at a local deal that was in our city at the time. It has racked up a whopping 65k miles since then. Only 4 miles has added since 2005. It has a 307 with auto and AC. When we started the truck I turned the AC and it blows cold! Has the build sheet in the seat as well as a second one that was taped somewhere for workers to see I imagine. Has all the warranty paperwork and the metal identacard. Not a tear in the seat and a perfect dash pad. Its pretty crazy! I'm still not sure what I'm going to do with it. It's so dang solid and zero rust (which is almost unheard of in Utah) I know I most likely not get another chance like this. It's fun to work on such an original truck! My 9yr old son and I are having a great time bringing it back to life.
