Yea I really like that bumper. It gives the rear end kind of a different look.

Thanks again for all the compliments. I am really pleased with how the truck came out. The guy who did the resto on it did a really nice job. After 52k miles it's still really really tight. 95% of the truck was done, I just tied up the odds and ends and went rattle chasing. I'll fix the T-case rattle tomorrow and then it'll be silent except for the thunder of the 350

I have always wanted one of these trucks, and I was lucky enough to be able to buy a nice one when I was 17 (still am). It's a fun truck, but I'm going to need something a little more practical for college, so it'll be for sale soon. But I'm really not sure how much I should ask. If I can't sell it for more than 10k (I probably have more than that into it plus lost of hours) I'm going to keep working on it and maybe show it in spring. I don't leave for college till next September so there is still time. Only reason I'd sell now would be because I often need to drive more than one other person, and my dad will be back from Germany soon so I won't be able to use his car anymore. I can get by if I have to, so I don't want to let it go . . . but if I can find a willing buyer I'll sell. Any idea what it's worth?

I would keep it, just out of my expirences. I was mad I sold my blazer after high school. I ended up getting another one while i was in college. You will feel really bad you sold it around you sophmore year.

dont sell it, i am in college and am currently working on the truck if i dont have money to work on it then it sits in mom and dads driveway my advice is to save up some money and buy something newer that is really fuel efficient and reliable, just check out my sig, bought the car off of my parents, you will shoot yourself in the foot and the ars if you sell the truck.

Don't sell it. I still have my first car and I'm glad I do. I was lucky that my dad could store it while I was in college. i got it out for my ten year high school reunion. Everyone was shocked that I still had it and looking good. It is still in one of my garages today. I'll never sell it. I hate to say it isn't a Chevy, but it isn't a Ford either.....lol

My intention was to do a restoration of my own when I can afford a second project vehicle and when I have a shop/garage that I can dedicate to the project. I really like this truck, but I'm not attached to it in the way that I would be if I had thousands of hours invested in it. I would really like to do a ground up on a 2wd built for show/drag.

I like the 4x4's but these trucks also look awesome low.

In the end, the bottom line is that I don't know how I could keep two vehicles. I live in suburbia so I have no where to store the truck, so if I kept it it'd have to stay my daily driver. I just don't think a single cab 34 year old truck will be very practical for College. I dunno what to do

The color is "yellowey orangey."

I have the origional PPG paint code that I gave to the body shop that just did my work, but they didn't find a match for the number. So they either changed the number, or the body shop that origionally did all the work didn't write it down correctly. They ended up having to mix some paint to get it to match. Long story short: I dont know

Why can't you use it as a daily driver? I put about250-300 miles per week on my truck, and she runs fine. Sure gas is a little expensive, but I'm a little vain and the thumbs up I get and the recognition by others more than makes up for it. Besides, everyone always needs a bud with a truck to help them with stuff. Including Cute College girls!!!

I didn't actually put the door in, but as I remember, I think that was the result of a day at the junkyard with a sawzall. Most likley came from an otherwise destroyed bed.

Past: '05 Sierra 4x4 - Had 270,000 KM and running well when it was written-off by a stop sign runner. '94 F-150 from the "F word" company. I'll admit it...good truck. Sold what was left of it for $800 to a guy who came to pick it up at 11:00 PM with cash in hand. Hmm. '79 Sierra Grande (Black) organ donor - perfect rebuildable 4-bolt 350 and a good TH350. '76 Sierra Grande (Orange) - hate isn't too strong a word. Kid who bought it turned it into a hot rod. '68 C-10 R.I.P. - Dad's old truck...too far gone to resurrect. '59 C-50 - with hoist. Truck is gone, wife isn't. Nuff said.
